Can Van Persie Beat Ronaldo's Record?

So as you all know, Cristiano Ronaldo holds the records for most goals in one season, scoring 31 goals for Manchester United during his phenomenal 2007/08 season. However, Robin Van Persie (Arsenal's captain), who is currently having a fantastic run of games this season is currently sitting on 25 league goals with 11 games still left to play out this season. If Van Persie can stay fit and keep in the current form he is in, he can very well break Ronaldo's record. I personally would not be very happy, despite how much I respect Van Persie as a player, because Ronaldo is one of my favorite players.
