Aston Villa LvG Post-Match Interview

Van Gaal's post-match interview after the disappointing 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
Thanks to Beanymansports for the upload.

Aston Villa 1-1 Manchester United

Painful result after we did so well against the better teams, just to drop points to Villa (no offence to Villa fans). Benteke's goal was quality, i'll give him that, but the defending was horrid from Evans. Should have been an easy header for him if he positioned himself better.
The whole first half was abysmal. To be fair though, Darren Fletcher offered very little going forward, giving us very little chances. With 70% possession though, we should be getting wins comfortably.
If Ander Herrera isn't injured I am going to be quite annoyed. He would have made our midfield so much more creative, and unless he had some kind of injury, Fletcher starting over him is absurd. Especially since he was not even on the bench! I am waiting to hear Van Gaal's press-conference to see what's going on with Ander.
The only silver lining to this match was Falcao getting another goal, he really needed it. It's crazy how much he celebrates when he scores, even if it's only an equalizer.
Di Maria wasn't too magical for the 30 minutes he played, took way too many long shots, and didn't create much, but he needs time to regain full fitness. Young was doing work on the left, and I was shocked to see him get moved to the right.
Towards the end of the game it got pretty grimy with all the time wasting. The fans held the ball for ages, and then their keeper was getting away with murder with all the time wasting he was doing. Usually this wouldn't irritate me too much, because extra time makes up for it, but for the referee to only give us three minutes? It's absurd. There was at least three minutes of time wasting between the keeper and the fans not giving the ball back, and that's even before the time the red card shaved off the match. It took Agbonlahorn a good two minutes to get off the field, and for Young to receive treatment.
I'm gutted at the moment, but I guess it's not the worst result in the world. Hopefully we can get back to winning ways against Newcastle next Friday, it should be a tough test.

Aston Villa vs. Manchester United Line-Ups

Kick off for the Aston Villa vs. Manchester United match is only moments away.

David De Gea, Phil Jones,Michael Carrick, Evans, Valencia, Fletcher, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney,Ashley Young, Robin van Persie, Falcao.

Subs: Lindegaard, Blackett, McNair, Rafael da Silva, Angel Di Maria, Januzaj, Wilson.
I'm predicting a 4-1 win, with Falcao scoring at least one of the goals, and a brace for RVP.

Keano Confronts Cleverly

So after all the Aston Villa drama seemed to be over, Roy Keane manages to bring it all back up.
It is said that Roy Keane went over to Tom Cleveley's house, and was banging on his door angrily. Apparently Keano believes Cleverley leaked information about his departure to the press, and was very angry about this breach of privacy.
I will keep you all posted once I learn more. That must have been a horrifying sight for Tom, seeing Keane banging on his door.

Januzaj To Reunite With David Moyes?

Belgian wonder kid Adnan Januzaj could be sent out on loan to David Moyes' new team Real Sociedad in the January transfer window. After being one of the few bright lights in a darkness that was last season, Januzaj has failed to recreate any of the form that got him so much hype last season.
Van Gaal could be looking to loan him out in January to re-spark his form, and David Moyes is said to be interested in getting him. With so many great players in Manchester United's offensive arsenal, Januzaj is finding it hard to get any playing time, and the times he has played, he hasn't been too impressive.
I for one would love seeing him get first team football again, and think it could really do him a world of good.
